Flea & Tick Treatment Protocol

 

ATTRIBUTES: Check for attributes on the services for more treatment specifications.

 

TO INCLUDE: Treatment will include inside the home and the yard for Fleas and Ticks.  Treatment can be for 60 days year or No Warranty.  Check notes on agreement. 

 

COVERED PEST: Fleas & Ticks

 

TREATMENT INCLUDES

Interior: Fleas (Verify that the homeowner has completed the pre-treatment steps on the prep list for

 interior treatments).                          

  • Visit with the customer and review your treatment and what the expectation of the treatment will be.

  • Treat all floor coverings including rugs, non-carpeted floor edges, hardwood floors, under furniture and beds, pet resting areas, bath mats, front door mats, both sides of small rugs, etc. until the area is damp. 

  • Be sure to focus on areas where pets (or host) spend most of their time.  

  • Treat all upholstered furniture, cushions, Curtains, and other sensitive areas should be treated with an aerosol product.

  • In attic spaces (If customer has had a history of raccoons or rats) Dust any conducive areas concentrating in the soffit areas and any known resting and nesting places of rodents and other animals.

Ticks

  • Follow the same treatment specification as fleas

  • Dust any cracks and crevices including wall/floor junctions, loose caulk areas around windows and door frames, behind crown molding and chair guards, under kick plates in kitchen and bathrooms, and any other areas where ticks will harborage.  

  • Crawl space should be power sprayed (Outside Rate) the conducive areas such as areas animals are known to rest.  Dust may be used if the crawl is inaccessible.

 

Exterior:              Fleas  (Verify that the homeowner has completed the pre-treatment steps on the prep list for

 exterior treatments).

  • Focus on shaded areas and pet resting areas treating with sufficient water to provide adequate coverage. 

  • Focus on areas such as under decks, under and around sheds, under trees, flower beds, high grass areas, cracks and crevices in sidewalks and patios, dog runs, and under dog houses. 

Ticks

  • Follow same treatment specifications as for fleas

  • Power spray tree trunks approximately 4 to 6 feet up.

  • Power spray shrubs

  • Power spray up the foundation and walls made of course substrates such as rock, log siding, brick, etc.

 

SPECIAL NOTES/ATTRIBUTES:

If a specialist decides to treat a home for fleas or ticks and none of the prep list has been addressed the specialist will still be responsible for any job completions and/or re-services.
